How to Distinguish Different Materials of Paint Protection Film (PPF)? (Simple Self-Testing)

1. Adhesive Layer Test: Use your finger to press the film with the adhesive layer exposed on the outside. Repeatedly tap it on the vehicle's surface to check if the adhesion decreases or if the adhesive layer peels off. High-quality TPU materials are typically paired with good adhesive layers, which can withstand these actions up to 50 times without affecting their performance.

2. Stretch Test: TPU material is noticeable for its resilience when stretched, and it can return to its original shape. PVC, on the other hand, has poor stretch resistance.

3. Burn Test: PVC and TPH have poor heat stability, and burning them will result in obvious discoloration and odors. TPU materials can maintain their performance even after brief exposure to fire; they don't ignite, change color, and can even return to their original state.

4. Key Scratch Test: PVC is quite rigid and lacks self-healing properties. TPH is relatively thin, while TPU has strong resilience. You can feel the difference when scratching them with a key. Moreover, TPU can self-repair scratches and return to its original state with heat.
