Color change film is predominantly made of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), classified chemically as "plastic." Structurally, it includes a colored layer, base material, and adhesive layer, making it suitable for color alterations.
3. Significant Performance Differences:
Paint protection film has a TPU base material known for its safety and environmental friendliness. It features a top nanocoating layer that provides benefits like heat repair (scratch self-healing), corrosion resistance, and strong puncture resistance.
Color change film has a PVC base material, which can release toxic substances when exposed to prolonged sunlight. Its top layer is a color coating that lacks self-repair capabilities, has lower flexibility, and offers no protection against scratches. Over time, its color can fade under UV exposure.
It's worth noting that color change films with TPU material exist, but they are typically limited to single colors, while PVC-based films offer a wide range of vibrant colors without such restrictions.
